2020 Toyota Tacoma
9 factory colors were offered on the Third generation (AN300) Tacoma. Your code is on the driver's door jamb sticker on the line marked C/TR — the characters before the slash.
Changes from 2019:
- Added for 2020: Army Green (6V7)
- Dropped after 2019: Cavalry Blue (8W2)
Verified against 2 independent sources: 2020 Toyota Tacoma official brochure (dealer CDN mirror): https://cdn.dealereprocess.org/cdn/brochures/toyota/2020-tacoma.pdf — color page lists Midnight Black Metallic, Voodoo Blue, Army Green, Barcelona Red Metallic, Quicksand, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Cement, Silver Sky Metallic, Super White; PaintRef Toyota cross-reference, 2020 Tacoma: https://www.paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?year=2020&make=Toyota&model=Tacoma&rows=100 — returns exactly these 9 codes.
Army Green 6V7 replaces Cavalry Blue as the TRD Pro exclusive; Voodoo Blue 8T6 carries over. Final year for Quicksand 4V6.
Where to find your paint code
Driver's door jamb (B-pillar), on the white or silver build sticker, on the row labelled C/TR.
Driver's door jamb
- Open the driver's door and look at the B-pillar at roughly latch height.
- Find the row labelled C/TR on the printed sticker.
- The three characters before the slash are the paint code.
- The characters after the slash are the interior trim code, not paint.
If the sticker is missing or faded
- Call any Toyota dealer parts desk with your VIN. They can read the code off the build record, usually in under a minute and at no cost.
- Genuine Toyota touch-up part numbers embed the paint code — part 00258-004X0-21 is code 4X0.
Other Tacoma years
Color availability changed year to year. Codes often carried over; names sometimes did not.
