Changes from 2019:
- Added for 2020: Army Green (6V7)
- Dropped after 2019: Voodoo Blue (8T6)
Verified against 2 independent sources: 2020 Toyota 4Runner official brochure (dealer CDN mirror): https://cdn.dealereprocess.org/cdn/brochures/toyota/2020-4runner.pdf — Color/Trim page lists Midnight Black Metallic, Nautical Blue Metallic, Barcelona Red Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Classic Silver Metallic, Blizzard Pearl, Super White, Army Green, with the Combinations chart showing Army Green on Venture Special Edition and TRD Pro; PaintRef Toyota cross-reference, 2020 4Runner: https://www.paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?year=2020&make=Toyota&model=4Runner&rows=100 — returns exactly these 8 codes.
Army Green 6V7 replaces Voodoo Blue, offered on the TRD Pro and on the new Venture Special Edition.
Where to find your paint code
Driver's door jamb (B-pillar), on the white or silver build sticker, on the row labelled C/TR.
Driver's door jamb
- Open the driver's door and look at the B-pillar at roughly latch height.
- Find the row labelled C/TR on the printed sticker.
- The three characters before the slash are the paint code.
- The characters after the slash are the interior trim code, not paint.
If the sticker is missing or faded
- Call any Toyota dealer parts desk with your VIN. They can read the code off the build record, usually in under a minute and at no cost.
- Genuine Toyota touch-up part numbers embed the paint code — part 00258-004X0-21 is code 4X0.
Other 4Runner years
Color availability changed year to year. Codes often carried over; names sometimes did not.
