2021 Nissan Rogue
13 factory colors were offered on the T33 (third generation) Rogue. Your code is on the driver's door jamb sticker on the line marked C/TR — the characters before the slash.
Changes from 2020:
- Added for 2021: Boulder Gray Pearl (KBY), Super Black (KH3), Two-tone Pearl White TriCoat / Super Black (XBJ), Two-tone Boulder Gray Pearl / Super Black (XEX), Two-tone Champagne Silver Metallic / Super Black (XEW), Two-tone Sunset Drift ChromaFlair / Super Black (XEV), Two-tone Caspian Blue Metallic / Super Black (XEU)
- Dropped after 2020: Monarch Orange Metallic (EBB), Midnight Pine Metallic (DAL), Magnetic Black Pearl (G41)
Verified against 3 independent sources: Nissan USA official 2021 Rogue brochure (nissanusa.com CDN): https://www.nissanusa.com/content/dam/Nissan/us/vehicle-brochures/2021/2021-nissan-rogue-brochure-en.pdf - CHOOSE YOUR COLOR page lists four monotone plus five two-tone in the top row and four further monotone (Boulder Gray Pearl, Scarlet Ember Tintcoat, Caspian Blue Metallic, Super Black) in the second row; PaintRef Nissan Rogue 2021 cross-reference: https://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?year=2021&manuf=Nissan&model=Rogue - carries the X-prefixed two-tone codes alongside their body codes (QAB/XBJ, RBY/XEU, EBL/XEV, KBY/XEX); ImportArchive two-tone code pages: https://importarchive.com/color/xew/nissanrogue2022 ('Super Black on Champagne Silver Metallic') and https://importarchive.com/color/xex/nissanrogue2022 ('Super Black on Boulder Gray Pearl'), which resolve PaintRef's duplicated XEX attribution.
First year of the T33 Rogue: eight monotone colours plus five factory two-tone combinations, thirteen codes in total. Important restriction - Champagne Silver Metallic and Sunset Drift ChromaFlair were NOT available as monotone colours in 2021; they existed only inside the two-tone codes XEW and XEV, so bare KAY and EBL must not be listed for this year. Monarch Orange (EBB) and Nitro Lime (EBA) show up in PaintRef's 2021 Rogue rows but are Rogue Sport colours and are excluded. All thirteen were shown across S, SV, SL and Platinum.
Where to find your paint code
Colour label on the driver's-side door jamb / B-pillar
Driver's door jamb
- Open the driver's door and look at the B-pillar and door jamb area.
- Find the small silver, white or black Colour ID tag carrying barcodes and dense alphanumeric text.
- Read the 3-character value printed under the heading COLOR (for example QAB, K23, XEX).
- On a two-tone Rogue the label shows the single X-prefixed combination code, not the individual body and roof codes.
If the sticker is missing or faded
- Check low on the door jamb near the striker - on some cars the label sits in the bottom corner and needs a crouch to read.
- Look at the bottom corner of the VIN plate, where the colour code is tucked beneath the word COLOR.
- Call Nissan Consumer Affairs at 1-800-647-7261 with the VIN and ask for the factory paint code.
- Ask any Nissan dealer parts department to run the VIN - the build record lists the exterior colour code.
Other Rogue years
Color availability changed year to year. Codes often carried over; names sometimes did not.
