Launch year of the L34 Altima. Nine colours, and the brochure availability grid marks every one of them as offered on all five trims (S, SR, SV, SL, Platinum) - there are no trim-restricted colours on this car. Pearl White TriCoat, Sunset Drift ChromaFlair and Scarlet Ember Tintcoat are the footnoted extra-cost premium finishes. Black is Super Black (KH3); Magnetic Black (G41) is not an Altima colour.

Where to find your paint code

Colour label on the driver's-side door jamb / B-pillar

Driver's door jamb

  1. Open the driver's door and look at the B-pillar and door jamb area.
  2. Find the small silver, white or black Colour ID tag carrying barcodes and dense alphanumeric text.
  3. Read the 3-character value printed under the heading COLOR (for example QAB, K23, XEX).
  4. On a two-tone Rogue the label shows the single X-prefixed combination code, not the individual body and roof codes.

If the sticker is missing or faded

  • Check low on the door jamb near the striker - on some cars the label sits in the bottom corner and needs a crouch to read.
  • Look at the bottom corner of the VIN plate, where the colour code is tucked beneath the word COLOR.
  • Call Nissan Consumer Affairs at 1-800-647-7261 with the VIN and ask for the factory paint code.
  • Ask any Nissan dealer parts department to run the VIN - the build record lists the exterior colour code.

Other Altima years

Color availability changed year to year. Codes often carried over; names sometimes did not.
