Three characters, usually a letter, a digit and a letter (e.g. K1X, D4S, G1U).
Subaru's own marketing names often use words like Pearl, Metallic or Silica, and the suffix loosely tracks the finish — X and S tend to be pearl or silica finishes, U tends to be metallic.
